On Friday, July 15, 2016, the Greater Dallas and Fort Worth Sections of TexITE will be hosting the 6th Annual Joint Meeting at the Ruthe Jackson Center located at 3113 S. Carrier Parkway, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Provided below is an overview of the program. Click here to register for this event.

Doug JonesDoug Jones is the Managing Director of the design build program for Texas Central Partners.  He has been in the construction industry 40 years.  Prior to joining Texas Central Partners he retired from Balfour Beatty Construction after a 34 year career.  During this career, he began in project management progressing to positions of increasing responsibility.  Doug was most recently the CEO of the Balfour Beatty’s Central Region, comprised of Texas and the surrounding states.

Doug holds a B.A. in Construction Management from the University of Florida.  He has served on various boards, most recently Downtown Dallas, Inc.  He is also a founding member and past chair of the Construction Industry Outreach Advisory Council, an organization which promotes diversity in the construction industry.

First Dallas TexITE Traffic Bowl & Annual Business Meeting – December 12, 2014 – Meeting Announcement

Our December TexITE Dallas Section meeting will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at HNTB Office in Plano.

We will be having the First Dallas TexITE Traffic Bowl!  Nine teams of three will face off in a heated, fun, and spirited competition to determine bragging rights for the next year.  Each member of the winning team will receive a $50 gift card.  Hurry and register your team before all the spots fill up!

This meeting will also be our Annual Business Meeting with the officers for 2015 being announced.  A handful of door prizes will be given out as well so make sure and register today!

TexITE Dallas “May Meeting” Golf Tournament Lunch

Our “May Meeting” of the TexITE Greater Dallas Section will be the 4th Annual TexITE Scholarship Golf Tournament. Please support the Scholarship by coming to the lunch after the tournament on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Riverchase Golf Club in Coppell.

Come out and socialize with folks from the industry, enjoy an entertaining awards ceremony, and watch two lucky golfers putt for a chance to win $2,500!

A two-day course aimed at helping agencies evaluate and prioritize their traffic signal system investment decisions and day-to-day operations in support of agency objectives. This course begins by exploring stakeholder objectives and resources; it then investigates setting effective performance measures, gathering required data, and managing and using measures.
